We are very pleased to announce SIP Organic Infusions has arrived at our herb farm, home of Southern Light Herbs in Maldon, Central Victoria.
Over the last 18 years, Southern Light Herbs has worked to promote the growth of organic herb production in Australia. Today, supported by our wonderful network of over 40 dedicated growers, we grow, process and proudly distribute a diverse range of premium Australian quality organic teas, medicinal and culinary herbs to our loyal customers within the health food, wholefood and natural therapies sectors.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! …SIP Lives On.

It’s a new financial year year and we have some good news for all SIP customers. We have successfully negotiated throughout the month of June and are very pleased to announce that SIP has a new home.
SIP will REOPEN for business on Monday 14th July 2008. The transfer process will be undertaken over the next 2 weeks, after which there will be stock, but possibly not all items initially, available for shipping. Initial order processing time may be 2 - 3 days. We will announce details of the new owners once the sale has been formally confirmed.
At this stage, the existing SIP contact details (see below) can be used for placing orders or enquiries immediately, however no goods can be shipped until after July 14th at this stage. Any changes to contact details, will be advised after July 14th.
We are very happy with this outcome and have great faith in the new owners to continue the great quality products and strong community that SIP is known and loved for.

Time for Change
Filed Under Uncategorized | 1 Comment
A time for change is upon us. After almost 8 years of riding the rollercoaster of small business, Todd and I have decided to move on.
As many of you are aware, SIP has been having a range of issues in recent months. We have worked diligently to resolve them, and in most cases, have. You’ve all been very patient and loyal to us during these challenges and we thank you for this.
We are currently in a position to be able to close down SIP, leaving our customers with enough stock to allow them time to find a new supplier, and with enough facility to ensure all of our suppliers can be paid in full.
Until further notice, SIP will cease operations at close of business this Friday, 30th May 2008.
Last orders will be received up until midday on Friday and we will be applying a 45% discount to all orders shipped in this, our final week of trade.
It is worth noting that, there is a possibility SIP will reopen on or around July 1st, as we have recently received an expression of interest from a third party. Their desire is to take over and continue SIP’s operations into the future. We have been working through the logistics of this and are hopeful this outcome will be realised. We can assure our customers and suppliers that a decision will be confirmed and implemented by June 30th 3008, and appropriate notification made to all of you.
We thank all of our customers, suppliers, friends and family for their support, patience, and understanding over the last few months and indeed the last 8 years. We have made many people very happy with our product and genuinely hope there is a bright positive future for SIP as of July 1st 2008.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
With many thanks and a fond farewell from us
Melinda, Todd and Jim

Iced Tea anyone?
Filed Under The Weird & Wonderful World of Tea | 2 Comments
With the usual blaze of an Australian summer upon us, there is nothing quite like a big jug of icy cold tea to cool you down. There are a few SIP products that are quite delicious when served chilled so I have put together a selection of recipes for you to try. Hopefully there’s something there for everyone.
If you can’t find your pleasure - be creative and substitute the water portion in any of the above recipes with soda, mineral or sparkling water, a shot of vodka or gin and some fresh lemon or lime slices. YUM! Bottoms up. Cheers. Salut and all that. Enjoy (hiccup)!
